TRITAPT - data files

The data files are compact and optimized for extremely fast access. The data is stored in one file per day per route. The average file size is about 50 kBytes. Among other facts, the database stores:

locations and names of the stops
all scheduled arrival and departure times
all observed arrival and departure times
observed delay between stops
observed delay at stops, apparently not needed for boarding and alighting of passengers
the observed number of passengers boarding and alighting (only valid if passenger counting equipment was installed in the vehicle)

There is a software library for creating, reading and modifying these database files. This is available to TRITAPT users to develop their own software that interfaces with TRITAPT.
